Hi, Aanya here. I’m a new blogger on Nutty Things. I like the Marvel Cinematic Universe a lot which is why today I’m talking about Captain America: Civil War.
Firstly, just to set the record straight, the release date for Civil War in the United States is May 6 2016.
Marvel will release Ant Man [on July 17th 2015 in the US] before this which I’m sort of excited about however I feel it may be unpopular as people may be put off by the name.
Anyway, Civil War will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo who helped with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It is going to be the first movie from PHASE 3 in the MCU, so this should be interesting!
Cast List at time of publishing:
Chris Evans – Steve Rogers/Captain America
Robert Downey Jr – Tony Stark/Iron Man
Scarlett Johansson – Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
Jermey Renner – Clint Barton/Hawkeye
Elizabeth Olsen – Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch

Sebastian Stan – Bucky/The Winter Soldier
Anthony Mackie – Sam Wilson/The Falcon
Paul Bettany - The Vision
Don Cheadle – Jim Rhodes/War Machine (Iron Patriot)
Paul Rudd – Scott Lang/Ant Man
Chadwick Boseman – T’Challa/Black Panther
Emily VanCamp – Sharon Carter/Agent 13
Frank Grillo – Brock Rumlow/Crossbones
Daniel Brühl – Baron Zemo
William Hurt – General Thaddeus
Martin Freeman – (I’m not sure who he is going to play, if you know please comment)
Chris Hemsworth doesn’t seem to be in this which is slightly disappointing as I like his Asgardian humour.
This is the plot line that I have gathered from IMDB and the Marvel website. It is based off the comic/s published in 1941.
The movie starts off at the end of Age of Ultron as Captain America leads the new team of Avengers. Captain America wants to teach values from when he first entered the military. Iron Man struggles to put his pride on the side in order to teach others about the future that could hold and the cost of this brilliant world.
After another international incident involving the Avengers as collateral damage. Political pressure mounts to install a system, of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers(1) putting pressure between them (but mainly between Captain America and Iron Man).
