Independence of the Seas Cruise – Day 6

Today was a busy sporty day at sea for me, still fresh from the excitement of visiting our first two ports and too full of it to contain it any longer. My busy breakfast run-off included playing tennis with Loos and friends with broken rackets with cracked paint and soggy balls that were constantly flying out over the mesh wiring and onto the poor rock climbers who trying to make it to the top without being pummelled by random tennis balls which flew out from nowhere (and you couldn’t see them, you were facing the wall), basketball with my Dad and this amazingly good teenager; later on he went on to play with some other boys and was by far the best; and finally table tennis, where I discovered a true talent and love for it whilst playing with my Dad.

Feeling beaten up and thoroughly beaten (ha ha) I went for a splash in the H20 Zone, before getting back in time for a quick shower before dressing up for the next formal: I wore a silky black dress with my new amethyst necklace from Gibraltar, deep purple nails with more of the jewels-this time they were shaped like keys-and scaled pink shoes. I let my hair down Daenerys-style (go read Game of Thrones now if you have no idea who Dany is-you don’t want awaken the dragon, do you?).

That concludes Day 6. Not much I know, but then, it was an At Sea day and truth be told I hadn’t written my diary. I’ve only been writing them ever since I’ve been back on land which is why there are constant delays between each post as I struggle to recall everything I do. This is all that I could skim off from my average intelligence.

Also, if you want something else to go with all the cruise posts, please tell me in the comments. Don’t want to be boring you, if you know what I mean.

  1. Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
